In the aftermath of a daring bus robbery in the Dassam Falls police station area of Ranchi, a wave of anger and frustration has gripped the vegetable trading community in Itki. This region is renowned for its significant vegetable business, dispatching millions worth of produce to other states daily. However, the recent robbery incident worth lakhs of rupees has left traders from Itki on strike, impacting local farmers.

The incident unfolded yesterday morning at approximately 6 am, where a group of about six criminals targeted a Shivam bus traveling from Kolkata to Ranchi. The perpetrators managed to loot around 20 lakh rupees from the traders on board. The victims, residents of Itki police station area, have reacted strongly to the incident, leading to a halt in vegetable trading activities in the region.

Farmers are now grappling with the consequences of the strike, facing challenges in selling their produce as the traders' boycott disrupts the usual flow of business.
